Free Chemical Accreditation
Did you know that if you use anything more than small quantities of household pesticides
as part of your business or work you must be trained in pesticide use and your training
must be renewed every 5 years?
Snowy Monaro Regional Council assists landholders where possible to gain this
qualification to ensure that they are able to participate in weed and pest management
Right now you can register online for free chemical accreditation training. But, places are
limited so you must register fast.
Registrations close for this round of free training on Friday 24 February 2017.
To register you must first have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) which you can obtain
online at: http://www.illawarra.tafensw.edu.au/course-and-careers/applying-and-enroling.
Once you have obtained a USI, follow the prompts to enrol in the course at your chosen
centre. Courses are scheduled for:
21-22 February 2017
22-23 March 2017
28-29 March 2017

Attention Users of Cooma Monaro Sporting Facilities
All intending users for the forthcoming winter season (1
April 2017 to 30 September 2017) are required to book the
facilities in advance.
Bookings will only be accepted on Council’s application
form, available from the Cooma Visitor’s Centre. All
bookings must be lodged at the Cooma Visitors’ Centre by
close of business Friday 31 March, and all required dates
and items should be clearly indicated.
Special purpose bookings (e.g. for annual or occasional
events) can be made at any time for these facilities,
however a Notice of Intention to Organise an Event
Application Form, available from Council’s Planning Section,
may need to be submitted at least 90 days before the
